Great emphasis is laid on sports and the college can literally boast of excellent facilities. The Hockey field ,Cricket field
are considered to be among the best fields in the city.There are Hand ball, Tennis, Basket-Ball, Ball-Badminton, Volley-Ball,
Kabbadi, Kho-Kho courts and a 200 Meter Track. Facilities for indoor-games like Table-Tennis, Chess, Carrom are also available.
Indoor stadium was inaugurated on 6.3.2014 by DR.K.ROSAIAH, His Excellency Governor of TamilNadu.
Sports meet was held with its usual vigour and enthusiasm. The Chief guest was Dr.M.Jayaraman, I.A.S., Additional Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Disaster Management and Mitigation Department , Guest of honour was Mrs .M. Renuga Lakshmi, General Secretary, Hockey Unit of Taminadu. A plethora of sports events took place in which the contestants involved themselves in the true spirit of sportsmanship this year too.
All India inter university Ball badminton league match was held in our indoor stadium organised by B.S.AbdurRahman Univeristy, Vandalur.
150 chess players participated in the State-level Women Chess tournament held in our Indoor stadium on the International women’s day.
- M.Sowmiya, I B.com participated in All India Inter University Athlete Meet held at Mangalore University and won Gold Medal in Heptathlon(Atheletics).
- R.Abarnakumari, II B.Sc. Maths represented Tamilnadu Ballbadminton team for the 60th Junior National Ballbadminton match held at Hariyana in which 26 states participated. The team won the Championship and she got ‘Best player award’.
- I.Ishwariya II History, S.Divya II Economics, M.H.Yasmine II Nutrition, K.Janani II PBPBT participated in C.M.Trophy- Regional Athlete Meet and won I place in Relay race (4x100 metres and 4x400 metres) held at Nehru Stadium, Chennai.
- Three of our students K.Saranaya III B.com, P.Hema and K.Kalyani of II B.com were selected for the Indian Rugby Camp at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
