Profile
The Department was established in the year 1999.
To meet the challenging competence in the
digital environment.
Students are provided with well equipped lab
facility and interactive smart classroom teaching.
Skill based papers and project in the
curriculum gives a practical training in the industry to the students for their
professional development .
This course provides job opportunities in IT and IT related
sectors, Public sectors like Banking, Financial and Management sectors.

Curriculum
The Bachelors degree in
Computer Applications program is designed to prepare students for high
productive careers in industry.
The curriculum
comprises of Computer and Commerce Oriented Papers.
Students are
also given hands on training in Accounting, Statistical Packages(Tally
and SPSS).
Open source software and skill based electives
helps the students for an overall development.
To enhance
the students, Skill based papers offered by Spoken Tutorial IIT Mumbai are
introduced as Vacation Internships.
Projects are
introduced in the curriculum to gain wide industrial knowledge to the students.
COLLABORATION AND
LINKAGES
Our institution has
collaboration with National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology(NIELIT).
The Centre
offers training & educational services to improve the employment
opportunities and facilitate the availability of quality manpower at affordable
cost, which in turn will lead to further growth of IECT Industry in the region
/ Country. The objective of NIELIT to develop strong
collaboration with other academic and research institutions in the region.
SC/ST
students of various departments are trained in Hardware and Software courses
from NIELIT
Training
classes are handled by the Staff members of the department.

The Spoken
Tutorial project is the initiative of the Talk to a Teacher activity of the
National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology
(ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government
of India.

on Cloud Computing was conducted for the III BCA students (2013-2016 batch) and
PG students. The cloud syllabus is framed in such a way to know the basics and
the importance of cloud infrastructure and its services. Duration
for the syllabus is 45 hours.
